Book Design
This book was created with design students in mind. It is for students who are facing the challenges of becoming designers and need a little push of inspiration on their journey.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project is about self-exploration, not just in design but in my will to chase self-improvement. It was about becoming self-aware of what I needed to do and showing up for myself because I would only disappoint myself otherwise. It was an opportunity to figure out how to tie myself with design and provide a doorway or glimpse into how the emotions that drive me, make me human, vulnerable, sad, happy, isolated, and inspired. It was an opportunity for me to create when I'm doubting myself and an opportunity for me to release my work into the world without trapping it in my own insecurities.
The project covers a part of design that specifically in school does not get spoken about. Its noise inside our heads. The thoughts, struggles, and vulnerabilities students face while educating themselves in design. This is through my own lens and how I struggled to come up with designs or even find a process that would work with my skill level. Its through a lens of a student who saw other students struggling with the same things and wanting to create an outlet for myself with the hope to inspire, empower, and create wonder for those students.
